Insurance vs. Doctor's Office

My insurance experience has been horrable. Not just dealing with the Insurance company but dealing with the Doctor's office. The doctor's office blames the insurance company and the insurance company blames the doctor's office. So finally I had enough, thanks to 3-way calling, I put the doctor's office and the insurance company on a conference call to hash out my billing problems. I learned by doing this, the doctor's office does not always tell the patient the truth about the insurance company. If you ever have a problem with the insurance company be sure to start with the doctor's office. My insurance company denied me but I have appealed and now I am waiting to see what will happen. I was denied based on a billing code with is 43847 which is an experiemental procedure. The doctor's office refuses to work with the insurance company with the codes so therefore, I am seeking another doctor.
