Denied and Pissed

It seems that insurance language can be very confusing. United Health Care states that the policy in effect for Trammel Crow Residential (my hubby's company and group insurance) has a written exclusion for gastric bypass surgery. The letter they sent leaves the door open for other reasons besides morbid obesity, but a telephone rep. for UCH tells me it excludes wls for ANY reason. I am devestated and furious. How dare either Trammel Crow or UCH tell me that I don't merit a life-saving procedure? My sugar is up to 300 and my arthritis is so bad I am going to lose my job. Boo, to both companies.
