Arrgh! I have no idea what to do, I am collecting my diet history and I went on Medifast in 1995, lost 80lbs, regained it all plus some of course... SO, I wrote her asking for records. In her words "To protect the privacy of my clients, all of my counseling records were desstroyed at the time I closed my clinic in 2001. So I am unable to provide ant specific records from your participation in the program". NOW WHAT? If anyone can give me any advice as to what to do in this situation I would really appreciate it. This was one of my BIG year+ diets I was on that was regulated and now required for approval! Im just so frustrated AND to add insult to injury, I emailed her back asking for ANYTHING even a letter that I participated and was on it over a year and explained why I needed it... She tells me that I should seriously reconsider the bypass AND come back to her for the Medifast now that she is a distributor for this stuff (want to say *$@(! but I cant). Of course she makes her $$$ if I did... Salt in the wound eh????? Sheeesh, the nerve!! Like if it worked for me the FIRST time I did it, I would never have to go thru with the bypass??!!! ARRRGH... sorry, just venting on the insurance board, lol Thanks for any help!! Judith

If that was a prescription medication you can go to your pharmacy and get a printout showing that you were on the stuff.....I never heard of that is it a diet pill? But I have a printout of the diet pills I have taken for the last 10 yrs......good luck........and once you do it......they will still want a recent diet record so you might as well start making appointments monthly...Karen

Hey all; Thanks for the replies.... Well to answer some questions, Medifast is basically a liquid diet and you lost almost as quickly as WLS (of course you gain just about as fast!) And I actually am in the 2nd month of seeing a nutritionist as an "insurance approved" diet with the weigh ins yada yada yada.... Needless to say, Im sure Cigna is not going to take a letter saying that I DID participate but that is about ALL she can provide~This is just frustrating me as I was on that diet (I was very good too!!!) and lost alot over the year but eventually regained it all + gradually... sigh. I was thinking that I was going to have to hire an attorney for approval help BEFORE this fiasco, now Im pretty sure I will have to! LOL... Things could be worse, right??! Thanks again all for the ideas!
