Cigna Lies!!!

After being told I was a "priority issue" for the 4th time Cigna told me they can't locate my file. They requested I Fax them all my paperwork. After doing so, and getting a receipt, they swear they never received it. This is the third time this bull***t has been handed to me. They are all very very polite and apologitic but nothing ever happens. I have filed a formal complaint with my state's insurance commission and the state's attorney general's office. I hope they don't lose it!

Hi Jim, I have to agree. That's all they do is lie. I think all the CSR's there love their job, they don't have to know their a$$ from a whole in the ground and get a paycheck for lying and being rude and ignorant to those of us who call about this procedure. Good luck to you.

Hi Jim, I know exactly what you mean. I thought this was going to be so easy, oh boy was I wrong. When I first called cigna to ask what the criteria was I was told it had to be medically necessary...and all they needed was a letter from my pcp, a letter from my surgeon, a psych eval, and a nutrition eval...then when I got a denial via phone I was told I needed two 26 week diets one being in the last 12 months...They either don't know what they are doing or are told to not know or to just be rude....it is very depressing for sure...good luck I am turning them in too...I'm now working on my second level denial...

For the 5th time Cigna just called to say they never received any of my FAXED records. I have receipts for them all. They refuse to give me an address and will only take a FAX. Then they throw them out and claim they never received it. We have been playing this game for three months. Every time I call, daily, a polite lady says they have no record of ever hearing from me! I wish I knew what to do!!
