slow, taken almost 2 1/2 months since letter of medical necessity. wanted more info, then it took a month to send a letter asking for it, then another 3 weeks to log the response into the computer, the rest of the time has been waiting for a response.

I was approved rather quickly from Blue Cross but that was because I called them daily, sometimes twice a day trying to get approval. They tried to deny me but ultimately I found out I was approved. Call them, a lot, because the squeeky wheel gets what they want.

Check to see if they are actually your insurance carrier or a 3rd party insurance hired by a self-insured company. We are having a lot of trouble with them but we found out that they really don't make the decisions.
