Cigna Insurance

I have been denied because of the 2-26 week supervised diet requirement that I was never even told about in the beginning. I suggest if you have this insurance you should find a new one. These people don't give a care about anyone. The only thing they insure is that they will give you nothing but a hard time whether you meet the requirements or not. It would nice if we could all ban together and get them where it hurt's, in their pockets.

I too am having the same problems...I wish I could post my appeal letter that I am sending because part of my appeal has a complaint about them in general, and I am using all of these other complaints as a reference to tell them that I'm not the only person that is being treated this way...You must take action immediately!!!!!!

Hello Sherri, Im one of the many with sucky CIGNA going threw the same 26wk diet crap also. I have been denied 2x and I'm going to my state medical commissioner. Not only do you file your complaint with them, but they can also over turn your denial if you prove your case to them. The more people who complain the better. They treat us like we're worthless "fat people" that think we're going in for this surgery obese and expecting to come out looking like "Barbie". I just want to be able to walk around the block!! Of course there are many many more things I want to do but Im sure you have other things to do this week...LOL Anyhoo, I wish you luck with your fight, may we all get our approvals soon. Hi my name is Sandy, I got got approval by cigna after my second appeal. I hirer an attorney named Walter Lindstrom out of San Diego, Calif. He set up a committee meeting with cigna and one hour before the meeting cigna called my attorney and told he that I was approved because of medical necessaries. Cigna will only do things if there are pressed by a state law. Beleive me, you can not do it alone. TRY A ATTORNEY, BELEIVE ME, IT IS THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS WITH CIGNA
