UHC and Tricare

According to the Tricare handbook, they do cover surgery. But my primary insurance through my husband's work is United Healthcare. Today I called Tricare and they told me that unless my doctor accepts UHC, Tricare will not cover the surgery. I will have to find a surgeon who accepts both insurances. Does this make sense? Nancy
