insurance help

my insurance is aetna patriot v flex (HMO) today I recieved a phone call from alvarado hospital bariatric insurance dept. that aetna (HMO) does not pay for the surgery only the aetna ppo. I know that alvarado hospital can't let me know how to go about this can you please help me . elizabeth
