Writing to your insurance company can help with there decision.

I have Anthem Federal Blue HMO and I started out by writing a letter to my PCP and attached documentation about the types of surgery and asked her to write to my insurance company. When she did write the letter she sent me a copy of it. When I read it i didn't like what it said because it was not complete enough. So I wrote a letter using the format that was given on the website and attached a copy of her letter to mine. I sent my letter four days after hers was sent. I received a copy of the letter from the company stating that there was not enough information and other information was needed. I got this on A Friday. I got another letter four days later approving the surgery. I could hardly believe it. The letter I wrote must have cleared up any questions they had.
