Denied by AETNA HMO

I am scheduled for Roux N Y with Dr Szomstein at CLeveland CLinic for 8/1. I was notified today that I was denied becouse I was not in a medically supervised weight loss program for 6 months. I have hypertension, Type II Diabetes, Obstructuve Sleep Apnea. I feel so let down. Hopefully Dr will contact medical director of AETNA for a review.

Don't give up. Get in a medically supervised weight loss program for 6 months.
