Kaiser appeal help

I was hoping you all might be able to help me. I have been approved for DS through Fremont Kaiser but My Wife whose BMI is 47 with no comorbities was denied the DS surgery. I was wondering if you any of you still have those any supporting documents that you have used to successfully appeal a denial by Kaiser. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi! I'm "the wife." I was denied because my surgeon believes that the risks outweigh the benefits based on my BMI. It makes me angry because I should be able to decide for myself how much risk is too much risk, right? Needless to say, I am starting the appeal process...
