Question about Paying for WLS

This may be a silly question.

Assuming insurance approves me to have WLS...

Do I have to pay the difference from what my insurance approves BEFORE my surgery. Or do they bill me for it afterwards?

Just trying to get my ducks in a row.

Thanks!

It varies from surgeon to surgeon, I'm sure. In my case, I have to pay a "program fee" of $525 up front. This pays for all my labwork, sleep study, stress test, etc.

But then on the day of the surgery I will have to pay about 2k of pocket. My insurance is going to pay the rest.

Every surgeon is different.  It's best to give the office a call and they'll let you know.  Goodluck!

Never accept NO for an answer.
