Medicaid Approval in Illinois

Has anyone used Medicare insurance in Illinois? If so was the process long for approval? Did anyone use UIC for their WLS? I Ned help.

Are you referring to Medicaid or Medicare? Both cover WLS in Illinois, however the requirements for WLS under Medicaid have recently changed (as of October 2012) requiring you to do a 6 month supervised weight loss program with your PCP and a Dietician. Hope this helps.
