PCIP insurance

I am new to to this website and I am in the process of trying to get insured for the VSG.  I was looking into applying for the pre existing condition insurance through the government, but the only thing is that they want me to have no "credible" insurance for 6 months. I have already started my 6 month supervised diet a couple of months ago in anticipation of getting the surgery. My question is, if when I get approved for the PCIP insurance and submit my previous supervised diet, will they not except it due to the fact that I am not supposed to have been insured within the last six months? Or should I just start my six months of supervised diet under PCIP once I am covered? Thanks in advance.

Well I've already started the process of telling the doctor what I wanted and doing the supervised diet. I just don't want to get disqualified from receiving PCIP insurance because I've already started the process when I'm not supposed to have any "credible" health insurance for 6 months.
