Totally off topic...State Disability

Hello All

I have a question for everyone....when/if you received state disability when you went off for your surgery from work did they pay you clase to what you were making at work? I am just curious to see if it will be close tot he same so that I can plan ahead...thank you  all in advance :)

Im sad that no one replied.  Im trying to figure this out too.  Im hoping to have my surgery sometime in April and I have to start looking into this.  Especially since I want to take as much time as I can (if i can afford it)  I know it varies per state.  I live in CA and on the state disability it said that the max weekly payout is $1100 although the average is only $460 a week.  $460 a week is not even half of what I make weekly but I might be able to manage. (HOPEFULLY)  I really wish I had Aflac!  But my employer does not offer Aflac.

 It's based on your income in CA, I don't remember the exact amount, but it's between 1/2 and 2/3 of what your income is. I was making ~$1800 at my job and earn $1100 on disability.

 No...at least in California.

I was making ~$1800 while working and I'm getting $1100 on disability.So, just plan to be taking in a little less than usual. :)
