BCBS ALABAMA TT Questions

I am 1.5 yrs post op from RNY.  I got preggers at 9 months post op and had a healthy baby.  I have a horrible hanging belly flap from when I was a lot bigger.  I am comfortable at the weight Im at and dont plan on losing more...

with this being said.  Its time for a tummy tuck.  I just got added to my DH insurance when we got married.  Prior to that I had a break in insurance.  I had Anthem BCBS until march, then medicaid from march till June 22, then the current.  Does anyone know if this will be considered a pre-existing condition?  I havent seen anyone regarding a TT.

How do I go about getting things started?  What are the requirements?   I have a horrible apron that hangs...it covers part of my "private" areas, and from time to time does have problems with heat rash and is sore.  Currently the problem is when I had my daughter (via c-section) the incision had to be done a little higher and not on the panty line to have less risk of infection....well, no infection, but they scar is HORRIBLE!  it looks like its being pulled apart!! I literally look like i was cut open with a bread knife!

Please any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  If you would like you can email me privately...

The first step is whether your insurance covers it and under what conditions.  Some policies allow it for medical need, others specifically exclude it.

Yes.  Thats how it works.  They may cover it, they may not. They may only cover part or a certain dollar amount. It may be specifically excluded by your employer.  Until you know whether they cover it and under what cir****tances you won't get very far.
