anyone get medicare to cover vsg?

I have medicare and I was wondering if anyone had been able to get them to pay for a vsg / sleeve. I have a Center of Excellence hospital picked out and have started their program. The hospital offers RNY and VSG. My first choice is the sleeve but I don't know if medicare will cover it. Is it possible?

Tracy, no it does not cover the sleeve yet. IF the powers that be add the sleeve to Medicare THIS year, it won't go into effect until Jan 2011 at the earliest. You should find out in October when we get the new details for Medicare if it's covered for the new year or not.
