Any Recommendations on Financing Companies?

Hi, My daughter just finished her freshman year at college, so I want to save any collateral on the house to pay for that. Any ideas about the best place to find an unsecured loan? We have excellent credit.

Hi, I do not have any ideas on where to find an unsecured loan, but I did want to suggest you look into taking out parent student loans for your daughter's education and use the collateral on your house for your surgery. Student loans and parent student loans usually have low interest rates.

Good luck!

Hi Ann-Marie,
We have some parent students loans out. I've heard that money is so tight that student loans have been drying up. I just want to hold the house as a back-up in case anything happens. Great idea! Thanks, Diane

I've hears that government student loans are still being given out, but private loans (like from a bank) are harder to get. Maybe if you call your daughter's financial aid office they would know. Good luck!

I'm no expert in finance so I have no suggestions other than the name of a company that is good about loans but as you know, an unsecured loan is going to be expensive:
