Experiences with Financing Companies

Hello,

I have had the lap band about 4 1/2 yrs ago and my band has stretched three times in the past 2 years.  I truly believe it was from being too tight.  I am one of those who has had problems since day one. Anyway, I am looking into getting a revision and having the band taken out and a VSG done.  My insurance paid for my lap band back then but my insurance that I have through another employer now does not cover any type of WLS.  Has anyone had any experiences with the finance companies and how hard it is to get approved?  My credit is ok, but have been making some payments slow lately due to being laid off last year.  I am worried that I may not be able to get financed for it and I have to do something.  The only option that I have other than the surgery is having the band completely unfilled, which will cause me to gain the weight back and I really do not want all these years of hard work to go down the drain.  Any advice would be very helpful.  Thank you in advance.

I can relate to band problems! ;o)

In order to get a loan for surgery today you need a credit score of 675-700. If your credit isn't up there you can get a co-signer.

Your band can't really stretch, are you referring to your pouch or esophagus? Once either one of those dilates it's very easy for it to happen again.

Yes I meant pouch.  Thanks for responding.  You are the only one that bothered to respond to me.  I appreciate it.
