Don't know what to do

I got a call from my PCP that the weight loss program wont accept me because I am too healthy. They said medicare won't pay. So basically it's ok to be 200lbs over weight because it hasn't cause diabetes and heart disease. I do have arthritis in my back and knees (they hurt alot) and high cholesterol, but I guess that's still not enough. I am beside myself, I don't know what to do. Is there something I can do to get approved from medicare. All the stress from this is going to cause me high blood pressure at this rate. I can't believe medicare has put this rule in place. What happened to approval for the morbidly obese?

Have you been tested for sleep apnea?  Many overweight people have it and don't know it.  Since it is considered a co-morbity you usually can get approved once being diagnosed and treated.
