priority partners case manager?

hi i have pp heath insurance,and i am approved for rny .but i dont have a date yet.today a lady called me and said she is a case manager,from  my insurance and will be my cheerleader for the next few months  and will be there is i need anything ?? ever hear of that? also what is this binder thingy i am reading about people wearing home after surgery ?? as always thanks for your help everyone :)
