Medcaid Americhoice / Family Health Plus Americhoice??

I was previously on Medicaid Americhoice when I called the insurance company to find out exaclty what was covered which was required by the surgeon before I sent in my application to even get my first appt with the bariatric center. Since then I have been swtiched to Family Health Plus Americhoice. Nothing has changed except my group number. Does anyone know if this could affect what is covered by Americhoice? They are the ones that get billed from what I understand not medicaid? I do not understand any part of insurance stuff. If anyone knows anything about it I would appreciate any kind of response.
