I've been approved for VSG
Hi,
Well on tuesday morning I heard I would have an answer soon, then that afternoon I heard I was denied because this vsg is the first stage of a two part procedure. The woman in charge of the program told me on wed that she had a letter prepared for the surgeon to sign and would be faxing it over to the insurance company. She then got on the phone and called the Director in charge of making the decision. My surgeon told them that this was the first stage and he would reevaluate when I lost a sufficiant amount of weight to see if I needed the second stage. But, the director agreed that I probably wouldn't need the second stage, but I would have 24 months to have it if I needed it without any more financial obligation. The nurse in charge of the program felt very hopeful after the conversation with the director and on Thursday she heard I had been approved. I'm very happy!
