medicare & share of cost in pensacola,florida

does anyone have this and is going to have or has had gastric bypass surgery? if so what was the step and the times of progress you had? ill be seeing dr. lord in pensacola,florida thats the one my dr. is referring me too

Hello I am trying to find out the very same thing. I have aetna as a primary insurance but they only pay half which leaves me with 10 thousand dollars so I applied for madicaid and I am enrolled in share of cost of 1339. I am also going to Dr. Lord's office and they said they take it but they didnt mention any special thing I needed to do to get it approved through them. If you find any information out about it could you please pass it along? Thanks

i called medicaid which owns the soc they explain to me that if i have a surgery and if it is going to be more than my soc that medicaid will kick in and cover it for that and the month of my surgery.since it is a secondary ins as long as my prim. ins approves they will also.hope this helps and gl 

yes that does help and 1339 is much better than 10 thousand.
