quick question

I'm waiting on a call back from my bariatric rep but thought I'd post here to see if anyone else might know.
I have Tricare Prime for insurance I got my approval letter in the mail back in October and since then I've been going to all the appts. for the things that needed to be done. Everything is done and now yesterday I was told that the next step is they will contact the financial office for me & the financial office will contact my insurance for an approval. So does the approval letter I got back in Oct. not count for anything? I have to go through a second approval? I should have asked her yesterday when I had her on the phone but I guess it didn't really register with me at the time. Just wondering if this is something that's normal.

Yep I did, I left her a message I'm sure she'll call back soon. That girl stays busy doesn't she? Whatever they pay her I'm sure it isn't enough!!! LOL

Just heard back from her, she said....
The first Tricare authorization is for consideration of bariatric surgery. They have to get a second authorization for the surgery it self.

Ok makes sense. Now to hold my breath till that happens!! LOL
