Xpost can I EVER get health care insurance?

I haven't had it for years but when I used to buy it for myself it was very expensive - even just doing high deductible coverage for catastrophe.

Now I'm told as a self-pay post op no insurance company will want to cover me.

Is this only true for trying to buy insurance myself? what I really need to understand is, if I get a job that comes with health insurance (and it's a big IF - I will have to relocate) will they happily take my premiums and then refuse to cover me when I need them, because of the WLS?

or will they only refuse to cover problems that are a result of WLS?

help me understand this - I am trying to decide  at what point relocating makes sense. it's a huge issue!

Yeah, you'll be covered under a group policy.

If you own your own home I would be certainly looking for ins.  If something were to happen you could lose your home.

I'll give you a call and see if we can't brainstorm on stuff.

HA! I received your PMs. Did you get your phone fixed/replaced?

not yet. I called the cell phone company and a woman there told me she flushed her phone down the toilet and after that the phone never worked again and she had to have her toilet fixed.

so it could have been worse!

she told me to take out the battery, let it dry out for 24 hours, and try it.

I tried it after 12 hours and it started up but after the opening screen/music wouldn't give me a screen I could use and then it went black again.

might get another phone today, or might wait until tomorrow. the hardest part is I don't know anybody's phone number, they are all in my phone!

What kind of phone?  I might have an extra!  HA!  I have a gazillion phones.
