Aetna - 3 mo Multidisciplinary pre-surgery regimen for approval
To everyone...:)....My surgeons office works with a local hospital program that provides the service that would meet the requirements of the 3 month regimen with Aetna. Therefore I have felt confident about my approval. However, I hope I dont say anything wrong to this lady who is writing down everything I say. LOL I felt like if I said something wrong that would get me denied. I have more than the 2 years documentation of BMI @ 41...but I did do WW and Adkins in '02 and '04 and lost no more than say 15 lbs over the course of 2 months and told her this. Then thought 'maybe I shouldnt have said that' and did tell her I gained it right back. So what do you think? Did I mess it up? And I would be interested in knowing if all of you finally did get approved and any advise you have for me. It was my 1st visit. I guess the main point of this 3 month process is to prove behavior modification? What are they looking for?
