UHC Appeal Process Questions

I haven't been denied or approved yet.  My BMI is 41.2, but it has not been there for 5 years, so I'm expecting a denial.  I am going to appeal it if I am denied.  Has anyone had any luck with UHC?

I have a few co-morbidities to go along with it:  borderline diabetic, borderline high blood pressure, asthma, incontinence, edema in my legs and rms, painful joints.

Anyone know what my chances are?

You WILL be approved!  Don't fret, just wait it out.  However, regarding appeals, I think that is something your surgoen's office will take care of.  Especially YOUR surgeon's office because so far they have taken care of so much for you!  My surgeon had me running around getting things done.  I opened an EoB yesterday and while it was self-explanitory and they did pay my doctor, I noticed a standard description of their Appeal process on the back of the EoB.  Check out your past insurance paperwork.  You may find it there!
