WEll I'm jumping thru hurdles with insurance company.  According to my plan to have the revision, I need to have at least one co-morbidity such as hypertension, diabetes or sleep apnea.  I had my sleep study on Wednesday.  I snore like a freight train so we'll see.  I have written a personal letter showed where I was pregnant in 2007 and didn't get lap band fills and also my BMI which is 52%.  Anybody have any ideas, so I can submit and get a possible approval.

Why, specifically, are you needing a revision? Has your band slipped? Eroded? Not working? Reflux issues?

The band is not working. I had the band since Jan 05 and have only lost 50lbs and slowly gained 20 of the 50 pounds. IMO it is a failure

The band is not a great way to lose weight long term. I had one too, I know what you mean.

Does your ins require you to have 1 comorbidity with an initial WLS type as well as revision or just revision? I've not seen that before, only when someone has a BMI less than 40.
