6 month diets - online accepted??

Hi, my company just got sold and I'm waiting to learn if the new company's insurance will cover WLS.  In the meantime, I thought I should start on one of those idiotic 6 month supervised diets, just in case.

I know Weigh****chers and Nutrisystems are acceptable.  My doctor has a 6 month Medifast plan - but it's quite pricey.  And anyhow, I've done all 3 of these in the past, some multiple times.  (Mind you, I don't necessarily want to lose much weight right now, or I'll be under the 35% bmi).  AndI have NO extra time to go to weekly weigh-ins, unless they're located between work and home, or work and gymnastics!!

Was wondering if WW Online was acceptable??

Thanks!

Sheri

Most insurance companies require a 'physician supervised diet' meaning that you must be going into their office for 6 months on a monthly basis, weighing in and documenting your supervised diet.  Most insurances do not recognize Weigh****chers or Nutrisystems.  In fact I was denied at first because I did not have my physician supervised diet, and I had been going to Weigh****chers for 8 months!  Make sure your 6 month diet is physician supervised or the insurance will not accept it.

Hope this helps!
