Hello. I have been a lurker for a long time. I really need some help. I am at the point I just want to give up and say forget it and just start excessive dieting, which that has not helped in the past that is why I am at the place I am at now.

I have a surgery date set for March 8, 2010.  My surgery has still not been submitted for approval.. I am concerned that I will denied.

I do not have any comorbidites, thank God. I do have a family history of High blood pressure, depression and diabetes.  The only other way that I can get approved from them is being 200% over my ideal body weight for height and bone structure. I am about 8-9lbs from that weight. I am afraid that I will not be approved. Is there anyone out there that has been approved with being so close?  If I would have known this I would not have entered into my program until I was that weight.

I am just very discouraged and need some advice. Thanks

call and tell them u want to be re weighed before your surgery and that you thibnk you've gained some weight....

make sure they fill out the paperwork with that weight...tricare is a stickler for the weight and the metlife table

also make sure the insurance preparer check the urgent box on their request

wear heavy clothes and shoes to your weigh-in, drink lots of water, etc.!!!

I've been fat, and I've been thin - and thin is better.

There is a better way. --Alaine of Lyndar
