Insurance Question

Hello All. I just open an account with united healthcare and I was wondering how long do you have to be with an insurance company to qualify for coverage of bariatric surgery. I know all companies are different and plans vary but Please share your experience.

Did you take the UHC policy out yourself or is it through your employer?   If its an individual policy you will never have coverage for bariatric surgery.  Most insurance companies will not write a individual policy with WLS coverage,  I have worked 30 years in the industry and have not seen any insurance company write individual policies with that coverage.
