Hello all. I am with united health care and in my policy i was looking at the exclusions and it said:

No Benefits are payable for expenses which: Are incurred for cosmetic reasons or aesthetic purposes, such as weight modification or surgical treatment for obesity.

So The plan that I have dont cover weight loss surgery at all or they don't cover it for cosmetic reasons.

Sounds pretty much like my company's plan. Absolutely no coverage for weight loss procedures, surgery, counseling or treatment, including nutritionist, etc.

UHC offers it - but my company chose to exclude it from their plan.

How ignorant though to write it that way so as to imply WLS is done for cosmetic reasons.
loose -- (adj)  not tight
lose - (verb)  to rid oneself of

Do you have high blood pressure?  Sleep apnea?  Diabetes?  Etc?  If you do, you MIGHT be able to fight based on the wording you provided.

No, not really.  Read it this way:

~~No Benefits are payable for expenses which: Are incurred for cosmetic reasons or aesthetic purposes, such as weight modification or surgical treatment for obesity.~~

It is excluded.
