Aetna approval before or after pre-op testing?
Hi, I have a somewhat silly question..I havent been able to contact my Dr office to ask them, but I was wondering if they submit paperwork to ins comp. after you have pych and nut eval or after you do all your pre-op testing? I have done the 2 evals and have appts next week for pre-op testing but wasnt sure if they would submit my paperwork now for approval? I didn't think to ask at my last appt. Thanks for any info =)
Hi,
I was approved with Aetna and the way it worked for me was they submitted after I had finished the physician supervised diet and the NUT evaluation but my surgeon's office did not schedule the PAT's until they had the approval. Aetna does not require a Psych eval so that can be done at any time.
