Obesity vs Morbid Obesity

I have United healthcare PPO and last year in the exclusions, it said surgical or non surgical treatment for obesity, including morbid obesity.  I appealed and was still denided.

This year, i have the same plan, but it exlucdes surgical or non surgical treat for obesity.  It does not say including morbid obesity.  I am considering re applying.

Has anyone ever had this situation and got approved because it didn't include morbid obesity?

Obese is obese, morbid is merely a level of obese.  It is a clear exclusion on your policy. :o(

Have you considered asking your employer to stop excluding WLS?
