 Congrats!

I will keep you posted on my progress too!  I found out yesterday that I passed the sleep study, so I do not have sleep apnea.

Congrats! You have probably already had your surgery by this time.  Good luck with that! I am jealous! I am on Day 9 since the paperwork has been submitted (not counting weekends) and am waiting and wondering if I should contact them - or - just be patient.  My doctor also has a GB US and Upper Endo in her surgery pre-op plans.  Again, good luck, you are probably in the middle of a recovery period.

No surgery yet.  My official date is 2/15/10 only because my doctor is going out of town next week.  All the other test that I had done were normal so just another week full of nasty protein shakes.  I can't believe they are taking so long to approve you.  Same insurance and all?

Patience grasshopper, you too will be here soon.  Good luck and Best Wishes!!!

I am sure you have had your surg by now and are up walking to recover quickly. My RNY is sched for 3/15/10 after a long wait. However, I cannot blame the ins company. I was actually approved the same day they received all the paperwork from the coordinator. I believe my total out-of-pocket expenses for the surgeon will be $688.00 for which I am ecstatic! There are always additional little expenses, like the anesthetic, but, for the extension of my life, I am grateful! And excited! I am older than the traditional patient; but all of us are taking proactive steps to make our quality of life better for ourselves and those who love us. Good for us!

During my US gall bladder, they found it was full of stones and will also come out. All else was positive.  I feel like I have been on the verge of diabetes, major cardiac problems, arthritis, pulmonary problems, etc. and I have been granted a reprieve!  My longevity has been given back to me!  Onward to success!!

Good luck on your journey to better health.  My surgery was 2/15/10, all is well and I have already lost 30lbs.  It is an awesome tool, hard at times and ever-changing too.  Take it slow and every day after surgery try do your best with your plan.

Wow!! 30 lbs. already! That is just so great....am going to follow instructions to the letter and can't wait! Spring is here in Ohio! We finally have sunshine after a very long winter; guess it could have been worse. But, the beautiful weather makes living worthwhile. Hope you are getting out and beginning to recover from the actual surgery pain and discomfort.  ONe week from today, and I am getting very excited. Will probably feel like I have been hit with a 2-ton truck, but the outcomes will be great.  30!!lbs. That is just so wonderful.  I am so excited for you.....
