Anyone with Keystone (HMO) Health Plan East?

We have switched to an HMO for 2010 due to sky rocket costs for us to keep IBX personal choice.

My question is, does anyone have this insurance and know which types of baratric surgeries it covers? Its pretty hard to pin point anything right now until 2010 rolls around. But I thought if someone already had it they could give me an idea at least?

Is this a private policy or a group policy?

I have Keystone East and they covered my lab band surgery and were also gonna cover RNY bypass- I got to pick. I don't know if they cover the others becuase these 2 are the only ones my dr does. I am pretty sure Keytone and Personal choice have all the same coverages but with Keystone you just have to get all the referrals.

I also have Keystone east and plan on using the same Dr. My seminar is with him on the 30th. You can call the number on the back of the card and they will be able to tell you. you can also go on ibx.com in search put policy next choose medical policy last modifyed 7/21/09, then click accept, then they told me to choose commercial, then choose bariatric. it will tell what is covered and not. The code for VSg is 43775, they consider it expermental unless your bmi is 50 of over and is is part of a 2 step operation.
I am hoping Dr Sarion will pull for me to go with VSG and not RNY. I too don't want malabsorbtion issues or inside rerouted. I need to take NSAIDS on a regular basis and you cant with RNY. My BMI is 42 so I don't qualify but from what I have seen on this board they may be able to substitute it.
Hope your Lymes is better and you get your VSG. PM me and let me know so we can share info to get them to cover our VSG.
