Anyone gotten approved with Texas medicaid or the Gold Card, from Houston area????

I'm currently trying to get on either medicaid or the gold card and live near Houston Tx. Im curiouse if anyone has used either and gotten approved for wls. My credit is below horrible right now, and we don't have stable income coming in right now so a self pay solution is way out of my reach right now. I'm depserate for help. ANYONE  know what I can check out for help?



Current: Aprx. 400 lbs
Goal: 150 (ish)
Age: 35
Height- 5'4
BMI-67

No high blood pressure or diabetes

If you go to your TX state forum message board there is a sticky at the top of every state board asking members if they know of surgeons that take Medicaid.  I'd go see who those doctors are and call them and see what the process is and if there is a waiting list.  Also, ask if you need to do the six month supervised diet and get moving on that if they require it.
