I've Been Approved for Surgery!

Hello Everyone, I've been through a three month struggle with an insurance company that didn't want to pay for a conversion from lapband to an RNY. Short story. Lots of frustrating phone calls. Customer Service Reps who were nasty to my Doctor and I. We had to get our benefits office involved on multiple levels. Finallly, the doctors connected and I fund out about an hour ago. I've been approved. I am so happy and relieved.

Thank you to everyone on this forum who helped me with insurance issues.

Congrats! I too FINALLY got my approval for wls. Been fighting with my insurance co for months! I started this journey in Oct 2008..... my surgery will be March 2, 2010. So to anyone out there fighting to get their surgery approved.....keep pushing forward! It can & will happen! Cindy
