My denial was in this past Monday and i was told by the dr.'s office that they will or did  request a peer to perr and tha I just need to wait because then the insurance company would contacts them. But i called the insurance company and the told me there has not been a request and when there is that they contact the dr.'s ofice within 24 hours.  Should I call my dr.s' office and find out why there has not been a request for the peer to peer yet? Am i being to impatient?

Hi ValMartin, definatley say something. Stay on them! The insurance companies job is to save money. I have been through a rig-amarole with my insurance company saying my Doc was supposed to call them. He scheduled three appointments with them and they were supposed to call him. They never did. They told me today he was supposed to call them. It might be a mistake, but their job is to save money and I know my doctor has been wondering why they aren't calling him

So, today I got a new number for him to call and the name of a doctor. I've also invovled the representative from the State of Vermont where my benefits are through to intervene. As ugly as it is, we have to keep on top of some insurance companies.

Thanks Andrea!  I hate to make my doctors office feel like they arent doing their job but Im actually trying to make sure the insurance co stays on their game and they are the ones who said that they have not recieved a request for peer to peer.  Therefore I felt like I needed to tell my doctors office what they said.  I just dont want my doctors office get annoyed with me especially since they already told me that all i had to do was wait. Waiting is hard to do and insurance companies can be slow so thats why im calling.
