Aetna

Does anybody that has Aetna POS II know how long the approval process takes? I just finished the last Nut visit today for the 3 month presurgery program and tomorrow I go for my last follow up surgeon visit. The surgeons insurance coordinator told me she would submit everything to Aetna on Friday or Monday. I'm just nervous and wondering how long it takes? I've started the  presurgery liquid diet in hopes that I can get an approval in the next few weeks.This has been the longest 4 months of my life.

Thanks for responding. That is music to my ears. Me being so impatient I called.They told me the approval process takes anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks depends on the case load.I was told right now they are running about 2 days.I guess i'll be calling everyday until I get an answer.

I don't live in the same state as you but I got approval on my pre-cert in 2 weeks. Best of luck!
