UHC, self pay, or fight??

Unfortunately, it's my husband's company I would have to fight, and he needs to keep his job since he is the only one of us working.  I'm going to have to either come up with a co-signer or give up.  I don't know what else to do.  Very discouraged at this point...

Anyone have any ideas?  Like, can I go out and obtain my own health insurance somehow?  Are there creditors who will lend this amount of money to someone with a credit score at rock bottom??
