I recently lost my job and my employer said that COBRA would take over the insurance. Well fine time to lose my job I'm in the 4th month of my six month diet. I don't know what COBRA is nor do I know if they'll still cover the surgery? I'm in Missouri and I had United Health Care for the insurance. Right now I'm a mess cause I don't know what to do next. Well take that back I am going to finish my six month diet out at least I hear its suppose to be good for two years and my doctor said it cost originally without insurance $45 dollars a visit to see him so I'll finish that up. but I don't what to do next after that

COBRA is a plan that allows you to keep your health insurance if you lose your job.  But you will have to pay the premiums yourself, your employer will no longer part of them.  So if you keep paying the premiums, United Health Care will still pay for your surgery.

I kept my COBRA insurance for the fill 18 months that I was allowed.  It cost me $500 a month, but served me well.  If you can afford to pay the premiums, I suggest you do it.  Of course the insurance can be pricey, but for me it was very well worth it, as I had great insurance.  )Your premium will not cost the same as mine....it depands on what your company paid for your policy...that is the price you will pay).  Here is hoping you had a lower premium than me and you can keep it up....or find another job with insurance!

On the road to a whole new me and a  shopping spree!!!
