Psychiatric Evaluation

I had a psychiatric evaluation when I was planning on getting lap-band surgery.  I have had to wait and change surgeons and in the meantime I have decided to get RNY.

In my psychiatric evaluation is talks about my being prepared for lap-band and I get great reviews but I am starting to wonder if I need to do another evaluation now that I have changed from lap-band to RNY.  I am worried my insurance will deny my claim because of this detail and I am trying to make sure I have jumped through all the hoops and done it all correctly.

Any suggestions of this. 

When is doubt call and ask :) Tell them you want to know what they need... if it makes you feel better ask for it in writting :)

Yes call and ask and even call the doctor who did you psych eval and let him know that you are now getting the RNY and see if he will do another letter that talks about the RNY or that just refrain from going into detail about either surgery.  Maybe a letter that says you know all the pros and cons from WLS and you've thought it through.
