I have UHC insurance and I submitted for DS surgery on January 19th. I was denied twice from UHC according to the verbiage in the contract I did not have a BMI for 5 years. It was like telling me I have not fat enough long enough. I then along with a lot of help from Diana Cox submitted an appeal to my company on May 4th. After 4 longs months of waiting and much discouragement I got a phone call at work from corporate HR in Dallas last week and they are going to overturn the decision and approve the insurance. It does not seem real to me yet because I haven't seen it in writing but the care nurse called Friday and she is all over it to get the letter and date....

Moral is no matter how discouraging DO NOT GIVE UP. I started to hate that saying and now it has a whole new meaning
