Well, I was approved for medicaid today

I told my worker I have insurance but she told me I still qualify and I was approved... so I see that some people have this surgery done with Medicaid... Im afraid to be excited and think this might work but I am, I admit and I'm going to be making lots of phone calls and find out!!!

Here's hoping this is the silver lining for me having to be in a situation to qualify for it to begin with ya know? lol

Check the MI state messageboard there is a sticky post with Medicare and Medicaid surgeons listed. Best wishes. I had my WLS covered by Ohio Medicaid...never had a problem getting what I needed with Medicaid, they once even PAID me to have a root canal...covered the root canal, gave me a gas voucher because the dentist was in another county and then once I showed that I went to the appt. I got a check for I think $15 or $25...I was floored...glad my tooth was fixed but shocked they paid me to go to the dentist.
