Opinions wanted please

Ok so here's my story short.  I went to the surgoen for a RNY well I have physical issues and can't have that so he recommended the VSG.  WELL, the insurance company (BCBSRI) denied that procedure all the way to level 2. They recommended the Biliopancreratic Bypass (BPD/DS).
Here's my question?? If they recommended it does that mean that they will cover it?  Anyone have a similar situation?  Any info would be greatly appreciated..
