Did anyone have a facility co-pay for WLS?

I called my insurance company and they said RNY is a covered procedure however I have a 2 thousand dollar co-pay.  Does anyone know if this has to be paid PRIOR to surgery or can it be spread out into payments??  I haven't started saving for this because I didn't know.  Anyone with information, I would greatly appreciate it. . .

Thanks,

I think it depends on the facility. My friend had surgey in April and she just  recieve a bill for her co pay, which obviously she paying after the surgery others might take it in advance.I am fortunate to already know this because of her experience and have already save that portion I need because we have the same plan.

Thanks!

Friday I had to pay the hospital $250.00. But she did say something about 2grand I dont know what she said I think that is my total out of pocket after that ins will cover 100% rather then 90%.

also find out if your surgeon has an administrative fee or program fee.. If you are in the early stage  meaning getting your required visits if you have this requirements then start putting back for the fees. I am not sure if you would have to pay your copay first prior to surgery or what. I would definitely  start asking questions if I was in your shoes. But find out if there are any other fees your insurance may or may not cover as far as your hospital stay and what have you. Just so you know. Whatever it may be do not get discouraged things have a way of working themselves out...
I am so Grateful unto God and yes, I will continue Praising Him in Advance!
