I just called my managed care group this morning and hot damn she said she was just looking in my chart for my phone number to call and advise me that I have been approved!!! Now I am just waiting for them to call me back with a surgery date! My approval is good from 8/19/09 until 11/17/09! I was told that the doctor still have some dates in September. I am so excited! I have won the insurance battle.....all I can say is....what's next!

No more getting discouraged because so many others are being approved and have had surgery or have already gotten dates and I am still fighting. All I can say is wow...now I am nervous about the whole thing.

Thank you guys for your support and it will be needed even more as I continue this life long journey!

yea! You won't believe how happy I am for you! Yeah...although I don't know from experience but it seems that once you get approved and get a date the next step is nervousness.

when you get the date everything is going to be a haze until you get to the hospital...its so surreal. Once you get out, you're not going to belive that you did it!

I am hoping for an uneventful surgery! I am so worried about something going wrong. I have never been under general anesthesia before.

Yay hoooray for you.. ive been following your blogs from ur ups and down.. im glad that ur finaly approved.. i myself is happy that i finaly made it to the approval process and i am awaiting my surgery date.. who knows maybe we'll get our dates around the same time.. kudos for us ..

Yes big kudos for us both! Now I am trying not to call the clinic to see if I can get my date..lol I guess I will pull out the bag of yo yo diets to see which one will help me lose the 10 lbs requested by the surgeon! I could have lost it by now and not know it so I am going to get my new scale a new battery to see!
