Anyone have Geisinger Insurance??

Hi, I'm just beginning the process of WLS.  My 1st consult is on Wednesday, Sept. 2.  I am trying to get everything together to lessen the chances of my insurance denying coverage.  I am newly diagnosed with GERD, and Diabetes.  (less than a month ago diagnosis) does this make a difference in whether or not I'll be approved?  Does a person have to be diagnosed for any amound of time prior to coverage or is it pretty immediate? 

I weigh 220-225 lbs and am 5' 6"  I think my BMI is just at 35 or so. 

Any advice, pointers, or words of wisdom with anyone with experience......
